Update: I have discovered that the original video, “A Waltz thru the Old City,” was posted in 2014, not 2012, and is still accessible online through this blog. It’s essentially the same video set to the Blue Danube Waltz.]
While scrolling through the videos I’ve made since Marcia and I moved to Jerusalem, I came across one assembled back in 2011 or 2012 from clips I shot while strolling through Jerusalem’s Old City. The original footage was set to a great symphonic recording of the Blue Danube Waltz and entitled, “A Waltz through the Old City,” but because current Copyright Law protects most recorded music back to the Pre-Cambrian era, I abandoned it.
Recently inspired by Adobe’s new release of 2019 Creative Cloud Software (and also surprisingly pleased with the old sequence), I re-edited it, setting it to Creative Commons licensed music. I think it turned out okay.
I enjoyed the sights and sounds immensely. I’m planning a trip to Israel next year and I also subscribe to your blog and also purchased your new book. I’m a past school friend of Marcia’s and was lucky to share a lunch with her and friends shortly before ya’ll moved to Israel. Please give her my best and hopefully can meet up with you two during out travel there.
Thank you Cliff for being such a bridge builder. 🙂 This was a great post.
Cliff, I enjoyed this immensely! It is much more than okay! I felt like I was experiencing the walk through Jerusalem. The music and the musicians were so good. Thank you for putting this together once again. I see that your humor still prevails! Blessings to you my dear friend!
What more could I add
Thank you Cliff.
